The calculator uses rank, years, duty ZIP, legal residence state, dependent status, LES-style deduction amounts, expenses, and TSP inputs to estimate cash flow. When BAH is enabled, duty ZIP, rank, and BAH year are sent to the local /api/bah endpoint so it can request a public DTMO BAH result. Other form values are calculated in the browser.
Files, exports, and shareable links
PDF exports are generated in the browser from the values currently on the form. The app does not require LES uploads, accounts, passwords, names, Social Security numbers, or bank information.
Calculator inputs can be encoded in the URL fragment after the # symbol. Browsers do not send that fragment to the web server, but anyone who receives the complete link can open the same inputs, so do not enter or share direct personal identifiers.
Server logs and feedback
Production hosting may keep basic request information such as route, status code, request time, and IP address for uptime, abuse prevention, and troubleshooting.
The feedback control sends its selected category, message, page path, and timestamp to the site server for review. It does not ask for a name, email address, Social Security number, account number, or street address.
Analytics choices
The site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics and privacy-limited Google Analytics cookieless page measurement. Allowing analytics cookies enables richer visit, session, and static-action measurement. The implementation removes query strings and URL fragments and does not send calculator inputs, ZIP codes, ranks, money values, scores, feedback text, or report contents.
Visitors can allow, decline, or change analytics-cookie permission through the persistent Privacy choices control. Analytics storage is denied until allowed. Google Signals, advertising storage, and advertising-personalization signals remain disabled for the Analytics tag.
Advertising and future services
The site may use Google AdSense on reviewed content pages after Google review. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies for ad delivery, measurement, and fraud prevention. The site's consent message and Google-certified consent platform govern covered regions.
If sponsorships, payments, accounts, or other services are added later, this policy must be updated and reviewed before those services go live.
