2026 Reserve Drill Pay: How to Read the DFAS Tables

Use the 2026 DFAS Reserve Component drill pay tables by pay grade and years of service; distinguish drill periods from active-duty monthly pay.

Reviewed September 28, 2026

A drill period is not a full month of active-duty pay

DFAS publishes Reserve Component tables with pay grade, years of service, one-drill amounts, and four-drill amounts. A typical drill weekend may include four drill periods; the actual number of paid periods depends on the authorized duty performed.

Use the current table and correct service row

The 2026 tables are effective January 1, 2026. Select the correct officer, warrant officer, or enlisted table and use creditable service as recorded by the service. Special pays, allowances, taxes, and deductions are not necessarily represented in the base drill-table amount.

Reconcile the pay statement

Use the official DFAS drill-pay table and compare authorized duty with the pay statement. The MyMilPay active-duty calculator does not calculate Reserve drill pay; do not treat monthly active-duty basic pay as a drill estimate.
